Can't see Rossi having that much value at this point. I'd still do this trade as is but I'd try to negotiate the 2nd rounder put of the deal

If bergy was to not have retired and Boston was looking for a cheap acquisition to bolster their roster for PO’s I’d say hell ya to that deal I like Hartman and his style of play. But because bergy retired and we need much much more then just Hartman to compete I can’t see Boston doing that.

But who knows maybe some of the new/ young guys like Geekie/ boqvist/ Frederic/ Merkulov/ lysell etc step up and we look better then expected come TDL and consider a move like this

If you're selling, you left off the best rental asset MN has in Zucc (only has a 10 team NTC). I also don't see him taking that big of a discount to stay in MN. He should be able to get another 20g/40a season with his eyes closed playing next to Kap.

Duhaime will get at least 4th at the TDL if he's has a healthy season.

If Rossi doesn't take a roster spot this year then his value will be shot. Newhook isn't really a good comparable to me since he has been a NHL regular for 2 full seasons. I'm thinking more of a Lias Andersson getting a 2nd type of value. More likely to me is a 1-for-1 "change of scenery, hockey trade" for another underachieving prospect.

I wouldn't sign any LD with MN having 6 of them from just the '20 and '21 draft classes. Lambos, ROR, Hunt, Peart, Benoit, and Pionk.

I agree with trading Foligno. I don't think the GM does, and will give him a $3m x 3 deal before x-mas.

Hartman is the hardest one for me to put a value on. He's MN's 1C, but ideally he belongs as 4C (maybe a 3RW). I also think he'll get massively overpaid as a UFA next offseason.

I think the Hawks pass. Rossi's current value is lower than the return you're asking for. Can he play? Hell yeah! But 1 point in 19 games is a red flag. The fact that he's 5' 9" and the Hawks already have a few undersized forwards is another reason they decide to pass. If the asking price were to come down I think the discussion changes but as currently proposed it's a no from me. The kid is only 21, it's probably in Minnesota's best interest to be patient with him.

Hawks decline. That price is too high, especially if Rossi is coming off a season where he doesn't fit in w/ MN. Also can't see the Hawks adding another undersized potential top 6 forward.

I would imagine the Canes prefer Drury over the 4th. They don't have to move him now.

I don't think it's terrible, but you're probably not getting higher than a 5th rounder if we're giving up Lauko - he's got real potential
