swayman doesn't have arb rights, and will likely use samsonov as his comparable. It should work as a 1 yr bridge with a bigger extension next year.

Okay maybe sway gets the contract but no way Frederic signs for that low for 3 years

Don't see much incentive for Mtl to do that trade.

Yes he does, he has an arbitration date set already -- July 30. I agree his comp will be Samsonov, although I would way rather have Sway than Sammy.

Then why is he on the docket for July 30th player elected arbitration?

long term, i do think samsonov's case for more money on a 1 year would be higher since he was the obvious #1 vs a jobshare

No use for Dvorak. MTL bought into the hype a few years ago, significantly overpaid and now are stuck with him.

Speaking of needing centers, the Wild also need a center who can play top 6 minutes. They also need cap space, so retaining isn't something they're going to do.

You'd need to offer a package that blows them away to get them to trade Hartman away, this isn't it.

Why would Montreal or Minny ever consider those trades?

If you're looking for centers, you better have nicer trading chips than Forbort.

this is a TDL move, and I really dont think the wild with the 14m in buyout money will be able to push a playoff spot. I'm expecting them to sell a few players, Hartman being one of them, come TDL. I'd be surprised if he gets more.
