That’s a very TBL-type move! Not sure about the value, but I like the creativity.

And then let him go in his RFA year if we can’t afford him and bring up guys like Greig, Jarventie, Ostapchuk…

I thought of something like this yesterday but I might rather hang on to the 1st to improve our prospect pool

This is a very interesting proposal indeed. I think from the hawks perspective, they're not likely going to trade TRad until the TDL. It would be awful asset management if the Hawks traded him for this today and then OTT went out and received a Jeannot type return. I'm not suggesting that's the expectation for TRad's return in a trade, but more so hypothetically...and a terrible look for Kyle Davidson not understanding the situation.

Raddysh may slot in on the top line with Hall and Bedard this season. He has the potential to be a hot commodity this trade deadline with his cap hit and RFA status. In a situation where the hawks use one of their retention slots (for a cap hit that doesn’t really need it and now can no longer be utilized elsewhere) and take on 3 years of a cap dump. I might want a little more in return. I’d argue the hawks could trade Raddysh with no retention, take on a cap dump that only lasts 1 year and still get a first.

Wouldn't Grieg just slot into the 3rd line anyways?

Yeah right now the top 9 is full. They probably should only move the 1st if they can upgrade Kubalik to Konecny somehow or something of that nature

This would literally be the best case senario for the roster, but I feal like giving up a first to dump Joseph would kinda suck.

Hawks decline. Raddysh 50% retained at the deadline could return a 1st on his own. Joseph is a pure cap dump from the Hawks perspective. He takes a 2nd ro move. Not enough in this deal for the Hawks. They'd be selling low on Raddysh. Also creates a hole in the Hawks top 6 for this season.
