NSH declines. Not giving up the young player who finally hit his stride in NSH and is likely a core member moving forward AND a 2nd for a player who doesn't fit NSH's timeline to compete, nor moves the needle on them competing now. With NSH in a soft rebuild, this is a horrible move for them

Let's be fair even with 2 mil retained it's not going to happen because Calgary would never retain that much for that long. Kadri back to the Avs just ain't happening or at least I'd say the likelihood is as good as me eating my hat (I ain't that hungry yet!) The term is what was likely the stumbling block as much as anything with Kadri and they still won't want to be paying him for that long as he deterioriates.

Last off season, COL could’ve had Kadri for just the cap space. Now they are sending Colton + 1st and a prospect for Kadri with a crap contract to get him back? Lol
