Really glad he didn't cost 1.6m, that would've been a disaster

Not Houston because the NHL doesn’t want to move a franchise to a place who wants to pay for an expansion team. Houston will probably pay to be the 33rd franchise. Quebec would be nice, any Canadian city would be nice tbh. Torontos market is probably strong enough for a Mississauga team

Well yes, if NY State can support all their teams, southern Ontario can support 2 Nhl teams.

It amazes me still that there is a Nhl ready size rink in Quebec but Bettman (and the Habs) are stopping it.

Sens fans: Very Angry

I think you meant "greater golden horseshoe" though and I agree. It is the third biggest MA in North America after Mexico City and New York (depending on how far you extend LA) and hockey is the #1 passion. A second team would work out just fine, but Toronto and Buffalo will block it every time.

Kansas City? Let Houston pay a $1B fee.

Very nice contract for AZ. Hopefully Ryan McLeod gets something similar - heck, I'd even round up to the next hundred thousand for him!

On the last day of season, in the 3rd period, McBain should hold out on his last shift…to keep it at 1,999.

Are they moving still?

I'd love Quebec but Buttman's not letting that happen. Otherwise hope KC, Milwaukee, or Salt Lake City

That sounds like what they were saying when Jim Balsillie was trying to buy the Predators and move them to Hamilton Ontario:

Q: Why won't the NHL allow a team in Hamilton?
A: Because then Toronto would want one.

My personal opinion is that it wouldn't have hurt Toronto at all -- in fact, they might benefit from having a geographic rival so close -- but it could've hurt Buffalo as fans from the Niagara area might prefer to drive to Hamilton rather than deal with the hassle of crossing the border.

Voted no because $1,599,999 is really hard to look at on CapFriendly.
