Most the trades don’t seem to bad, but I can guarantee you no one is giving a 2nd for O’brien. He’s looking like a career AHLer, whatever potential he had was lost years ago.

Maybe a team gives a 4th but no way he gets a better return then what Portillo and mcbain returned when they actually had NHL potential

All seems pretty Philly skewed.

Mete likely clears waivers and gets no compensation back in a trade.

Early 2nd + Boqvist = late 1st and Sandstrom has no value so you'd need to drop the other pieces coming back to Philly.

And you can drop Poulin from the Carter trade.

Mantha >>> Atkinson before even considering the extra year of a cap hit. 2nd goes the other way tbh.

The Flyers are supposed to be awarded the 19th pick of the 2nd round as compensation for a 1st round pick not signing.

Teams with 1st round picks who do not sign their ELC's recieve a 2nd round pick in the exact same spot of the round that the player was picked in.

Tampa trade seems fine, if Seeler has another year like last I could see him fetching something pretty decent honestly like a 3rd.

I think Boqvist is worth more than that. Not sure CBJ would want to give uo the extra 2nd. Boqvist made steps in the games he played last season, and produced quite well for a Dman in 46 games. But I do like the target.

Think WSH would just rather keep Mantha and let his contract expire. Atkinsons contract probably has less value at this point due to his term and age. WSH might be intersted in swapping Oshie.

And tbh I rather not help out PIT unless they're paying us more to take Carter, not sure Carter would even waive back here too.

I don’t want to help Pitt, I think Seeler gets a bit more, and I don’t like the CBJ trade at all

No the TB trade really isn't fine as they truly have less than no interest in Mete. Seeler while probably an upgrade to DeHaan is he that much of an upgrade? Yeah pretty easy pass for TB.

I'm just speaking in terms of value, The team could be different but Seeler was very solid last year. If Seeler continued on the same path him netting a 3rd doesn't seem completely unreasonable to me with guys like Braun and Luke Schenn both netting a 3rd at past deadlines and being worse players at the time of being traded.

Mete is just an extra body throw in. That being said if Seeler reverts to prior form all this is irrelavant.

I thought Dubas was higher than a satellite giving a 3 for the pylon that is Luke Schenn. Great guy but skates like an oak tree.

Caps decline. Atkinson is such an unknown after missing an entire season. He also has a higher cap hit and is older and has an extra year on his deal in comparison to mantha. The caps would then be forced to make another move to dump cap. All this and we don’t even know if Atkinson will stay healthy and be productive.

Its a compensatory pick, not a trade, I just picked ARZ as the placeholder....the league has already announced that PHI will get the 17th or 19th pick in the 2024 draft as compensation.

WASH was rumoured to need a top 6 winger, Mantha has been such a disappointment, that a healthy Atkinson is an upgrade, I forgot to retain third/half of Atkinson, which is why the 2nd is going back to PHI, because WASH is getting the POSSIBLY better production of Atkinson at 50%.

As far as Mete that was just to move a contract, but Seeler probably gets 2 FUTURE 5ths no problem following his 22-23 year.

The CBS deal: Bemstrom is extra/odd man out in CBS and Sandstrom is the same in PHI, so those two offset each other, really its a 2024 1st for Boqvist and a 5th in 2024 and a 2026 2nd (THREE drafts away). CBS has too many RD, and while Boqvist probably isnt the one to be moved at just 22 yrs old, he probably is worth a 2nd and might not get the icetime in CBS. For PHI they can see what Boqvist can become and bring in a LW/RW with some upside.
