A 1st for Reimer? 🤣

Petry's days of waiving his NTC-NMC are over. He's back home now.

Honestly, why stop at a first for Reimer?
Let's take Bouchard, too.

I could see Perron mayyyybe getting a 1st with full retention - he's a grizzled vet, he has a ring, he's still very productive, so yeah, that's not crazy.

The rest is pretty crazy though:

-Ghost only cost the Hurricanes a 3rd rounder at this past year's deadline, and that was with Arizona giving him the most minutes of his career on a team going nowhere. Not sure why you think he gets a significantly higher value here?

-Clearly, Edmonton would have to add *significantly* here to get the mighty James Reimer, seeing as he has a recent history of putting up incredible numbers and a strong history of coming up big in the playoffs.

-The Islanders have Ryan Pulock, Noah Dobson, and Scott Mayfield all playing RD this year. I can't see any reason (barring injury) that they would be targeting another RHD in Petry, much less giving up a 1st for him when he literally was just acquired for a 4th and a post-hype prospect.

-If Sprong keeps up his pace from last year, I could see him getting a good return - he's 26, making $2M, and is coming off a 20-goal season. Not a terrible value here.

-Fischer needs to make a leap above where he's played at to get this kind of return - I think it's more likely he brings back a later pick and a lottery ticket prospect if Detroit moves him and he's still only a 25-30 point guy.

Only if giving term to mediocre vet defensemen can be considered magic

laugh 4 1st round picks, Dude you're delusional. And Petry isn't waiving he's a Red Wing at least until his contract is up.

The thing that I think is being overlooked here is that I called the Petry for Lindstrom trade the week before it happened, so I think that should carry a lot of weight when evaluating my ACGMs moving forward.

If these players are worth what you're proposing, then the Wings are likely in solid playoff position, and then they wouldn't be having a fire-sale.

Until one of those players retire both proposals are still possible. Therefore my record remains untarnished. I'm batting 1000
