I like the return for CGY. It definitely gives us options. I might want to upgrade on Coyle using the futures to bring in someone that can put up more points.

Well Coyle's never going to waive to Canada but for the sake of argument we'll pretend he does. Why would Vancouver not just try to keep the massive upgrade at 3C in Coyle. Flames would have almost zero use for him and prefer to get futures

Cool idea but Lindholm and Tanev are UFAs after the upcoming season. Big risk for BOS.

CAL would probably do the deal IMO.

VAN idk, probably not. Too many 1st' traded.

Bruins have no need for one year of Lindholm and Tanev if it costs them four years of Carlo alone never mind the 1st and Lysell.

Yeah, I would say if BOS was interested in Lindholm they could just keep Carlo and forget Tanev. Make it something like Lindholm (with permission to speak to his agent about extending) for Coyle, 1st, Lysell.

Just my opinion, the Bruins shouldn't giving away any more futures just to maybe upgrade this season. Extension, from the figures we have "seen", Lindholm looks like he's going to overpaid if not in salary certainly in term. Seems likes on CF, no team ever signs UFAs, there always has to be an extension attached to a trade.

It's becoming more common practice in recent years that a team inquiring about a top-end pending UFA would want to at least know if the player would be willing to re-sign before committing assets in a trade.
