Red Wings are in no position to trade those kinds of assets for a rental.

I forgot to add the premise for these trades. It was all based on them being deep in the hunt of the Division lead.

I don't think the Flames will be sellers at the deadline. Like the return though.

Shipping out Maata and Chairot for Zadorov makes the D worse, not better. And why exactly would the Hawks be giving up a pick to add Chairot mid season? The only thing they'll be competitor is a top 5 pick in the draft. Hawks obviously decline.

Edmonton can't afford Perron even with retention and I don't think he's worth that return anyhow. His 1.62 P/60 at 5v5 is 3rd line rate and his 56.00 IPP shows he was being carried.

I would trade Danielson by himself for Lindholm and Zadorov. I like Lindholm and I like the all Swedish 2nd line but without Tkachuk and Gaudreau last season production is what you can expect from him. Now 20 to 25 goals and around 60 points is very respectable but I wouldn't give up Danielson + a 2nd and a 3rd for him. I think Danielson is going tp be better Kasper and he is probably our 2nd best prospect behind Edvinsson. We have so many LHDs in our system giving up assets another LHD Just doesn't make sense,

Neither Anaheim or Chicago are giving up draft capital for bottom pairing d-men.

You should really watch Lindholm a little more. He isn't a 60pt C, more like a 70pt C that just made Toffoli beat his career year at the age of 30 by something like 15pts.

Our PP was terrible this season, and we didn't have any plays set up to use Lindholm's shot. Most plays went to Toffoli, with Lindholm doing the hard work. If they tweak the PP a little he'll be back to 35G.

If Petry with a similar NTC took that much to move
Why would Chiarot be so easy to move with more term and not Retention?

I mean if you RS 50$ even then that return seems high, really you should be paying them a 3rd or 4th at least

Take a look at his scoring logs from his first 4 seasons in Calgary and compare them to last seasons scoring log. Tkachuk and Gaudreau are all over his scoring logs from his first 4 seasons in Calgary but not last seasons which was his worst season in Calgary so far. Once again he is a very good player but Yzerman isn't going to give up his best center prospect who is 10 years younger than Lindholm. As far as the PP goes almost half of his goals and a quarter of his assists came on the PP. Now you don't have to agree with me but until he hits the 35 goal mark again I'm sticking with my prediction.

But it's a moot point for whatever reason Yzerman likes Chiarot and I have no idea why. But I don't see Yzerman trying to move him until Edvinsson and either Johansson or Wallinder are on the team full time. Chiarot and Holl play the style of D Yzerman likes just not as effective as he would like. Detroit has some really good D-prospects so Chiarot and Holl are basically place holders and maybe even a softy net if a prospect takes longer to develop or just isn't good enough to play in the NHL.

That's such a weird take, which top line player regularly plays with 3rd liners? Sutter played Lindholm with Huberdeau for 5 games. Then it was Toffoli, and rotating wingers. Gaudreau also had a pretty bad season without Lindholm, 115P > 74P; +64 > -33. Or do you attribute all of their success to Tkachuk? If it was all Chucky then why did Lindholm have 78P with Gaudreau and Monahan?

Look at his scoring logs! It's not that weird when most of his points involve either or both Tkachuk and Gaudreau.

They played together all the time that year. I don't remember any games where they were actually split up for more than a few shifts.

Hawks are not paying for the pleasure of that Chiarot contract. If Detroit is trying to move him, they are gonna be adding some big assets.

Yeah. DET would have to pay CHI to take Chiarot, IMO.
