Muh Leverage. You see WPG holds the MTL pick which they want for Laffy so that means they have leverage thus it takes Caufield plus Suzuki to get it back only to trade it for a worse player.

Edmonton would more than likely match that making it you giving up 4 pieces just to get your 2nd back

They cant. only have about 3.5m in cap and a 19 man roster. Bouchard would make it 20

Broberg and Holloway both waiver exempt if needed. EDM easily matches that and Bouchard would be an idiot to even sign a 4.2M offer sheet

Broberg isnt even on the roster rn and theyd have to send Holloway down and not be able to call him back up

300k more than they have, Waive a player and call someone up at the end of camp. Finding 700k is different

Broberg isn't on the CapFriendly roster... There's a very good chance Woodcroft goes 11/7 as he regularly does and Broberg is better than Niemelainen!
Pederson & Niemelainen are likely to pass thru waivers and head to Bakersfield.
Why wouldn't they be able to call Holloway back up? He's waiver exempt!

I think it's clear you don't know the situation in EDM at all.

This is so dumb. Not a chance Bouchard signs with a bottom feeder for the same money he can make in Edmonton - you'd have to double it just to get his attention. Even then it's doubtful he'd sign... and as everyone else said, Edmonton would match this and they can afford to.

Kovacevic was a great waiver pickup. Had he not been on waivers and still a JET you'd probably rate him at Matthias Ekholm's level.

Was unofficial yesterday, I will check the Athletic today but either way, I am confident it will be sub 4 mill.
