Except a 20 man roster isn't practical . Please not Gambrell on the team. Waiving Timmins....and if he's claimed, the Leafs have NO NHL capable Dmen with the Marlies.
Last season the Leafs used 11 Dmen before TDL, and traded for two more for a total of 13 Dmen used.

Correct. I think they are planning to run a 20 man roster to start. I would not be surprised if they start with 11 and 7. I don't see Gambrell making the team out of camp.

So keep Timmins, send Gmabrell down and that's what I assume. I hope Robertson gets a look also but he is waiver exempt, so he may need to start in the AHL.

Several teams (Leafs included) started with a 20 man last year. They are definitely playing with fire in that situation though. It worked out well for the Leafs last year but they do put themselves in a bad situation. But I believe the Leafs and several other teams see the potential reward, outweighing the risks.

Either Brodie, jarnkrok or Nylander only one of them will be traded before the start of the season I think keeping all three is the best case losing more than one is very bad but one of them will be in a trade I would guess.

It's not the best way to operate but it's definitely doable and they did this last season. I agree waiving Timmins is unwise. Likely start with 11/7 and then when someone ultimately gets hurt for a stretch you bring up some spares.

Getting rid of Timmins is, in my opinion, the single biggest mistake I see in Toronto ACGMs.

if hossa can be allergic to his equipment, murray can be stashed on LTIR

I'm surprised they haven't signed some vets to one-way contracts to stash them on the Marlies in case of injuries.

Goalie Martin Jones looks like the only player like that. Hope I'm wrong, but the Marlies only a few young players that could be considered NHLers in the future.
Lots of older never to NHLers.
