with CGY having brought in Provorov and Severson, I don't see as CBJ as a Hanifan landing spot.

Although i think they could be interested in Lindholm, Can't see them parting with Marchenko tho.

Lindholm isn't available. If he does become available Marchenko alone wouldn't get him. It'd take more like Johnson or Sillinger + Marchenko + pick.

I wouldn't rule out Calgary moving Lindholm, might be during the regular season, but if things don't improve and he wants out/to test FA, I don't think moving him is off the table.

also the team trading for him would probably opt for a return of draft picks rather than prospects. Teams rarely trade their top prospects. The return will also probably be semi disapointing at first glance due too him being a rental with UFA control.

Johnson for Lindholm straight up would be an overpay. It's silly to think it would take 3 more high quality assets on top of Johnson to get that deal done lol.

Wrong Johnson alone doesn't get Lindholm. BTW that's 3 assets not 4 it was Johnson OR Sillinger not both. Also I didn't say what round the pick was in, that'd be negotiable depending on if Calgary is getting Johnson or Sillinger.

W/e. Any add to Johnson is ridiculous and KJ and Marchenko would be off the table if the Jackets were even interested in Lindholm. Nobody is giving up players like them for the back half of Lindholm's career.

You talking about Johnson and Marchenko as if they're untouchable superstars is what's ridiculous.

Not true in the least. They're just not on the table for the back half of the career of a guy who is going to be getting wildly overpaid. Pretty simple stuff, but I understand if you have trouble following along.

That's a steal for CGY.

Would you as a Flames fan trade Coronato/Wolf + Kylington/Zadorov + Zary/Pelletier + 4th(Kylington/Z have more value than Bean) for one year of Hanifin?

For Hanifin yeah sure but not for Lindholm with an extension.

Wildly overpaid would be little johnny and Laine not Lindholm at around 9 mil/yr.

Don't be ridiculous obviously it only happens with an extension.

When I see those trades to a destination like Columbus I ask myself why would Hanifin extend there? After the Tkachuk trade, we as Flames fans completely overvalue the worth of an extension. We're selling 1 year of a player that likely wants to test the free agent market. If Hanifin has Columbus circled as his only destination, then why wouldn't they just wait a year? It's not like they're contending right now.

I don't see us getting any top prospects in a trade this off season. B prospects, 1st round picks, and salary back is what I would expect if we're selling. Otherwise, a strict hockey trade.

Columbus has Werenski and Provy already. This Hanifin to CLB thing was made up as clickbait nonsense.

You’d be lucky to get Johnson straight up for Lindholm. If he’s traded it’ll be for something similar to Horvat, maybe with a prospect a bit better than Raty

Dream on. Johnson isn't a number 1 center you just hope he'll become one eventually. Lindholm is a proven number 1 center in his prime. That's a huge difference. Now if we were talking about a real blue chip prospect like Fantilli or Beniers you might have a point.

No chance CBJ does that. Sillinger could be available, but neither Johnson or Marchenko is being moved. (esp for a guy that's gonna be $9M). Those are both special players, who will be on good contracts for the next few years. I see both topping Lindholm's career highs.
