Yeah at that point there is no deal to be made then. We’ve got Chytil signed for 4 years, Trocheck for 6 years and Mika for 7 years all for a combined total of less than $18.6 mil. I call that a win.

Chytil a bargain, trocheck decent to possibly trouble, Mika could be full scale of bargain to decent to trouble. There’s a few others that are kind of questionable, seemed like there was a term kick, I guess don’t overly have to worry about it, with the budget to buy out or retain when headed for rebuild territory. Or mysterious illnesses to get them out of the way In the future and semi off the books. Will be interesting if they can find the adds to put them over the top.

The only problem contracts in my mind are Panarin (overpaid by $1.5-2 mil), Trouba (overpaid by $2-2.5 mil) and Goodrow (overpaid by $1-1.5 mil). Ideally those amounts would give us another middle six winger, but the 3 of them are still contributing members of the team in my opinion (even despite my criticism of them at times).

Only real problem was the kids not coming quite as quick as needed, big physical offensive laffy basically exactly what is needed, offensive force in kakko would be huge too. Basically kid line push the top 6 faster. Tough to catch the perfect window with the vets.

Yeah this year as they turn 22, 23 and 24 will be huge imo to determine things going forward.

Drury isn’t that dumb. You’ve seen everything he did so far. None were actually bad. I would think that he is in contact with WPG and seeing if there’s a deal but I have to think either Goodrow is included or it’s a blockbuster including someone like panarin which is unlikely with the NMC. I’d just leave it at there’s discussion and it’s not going anywhere
