Don’t even bother making trades for Pinto right now and for Hart in general on this site if you want actual feedback because there’s some OTT fans who think Pinto is Bedard and there’s other fans on here who think Hart isn’t even worth a McChicken Sandwich

So true! Fans on this site give their opinions as if they are facts. Just in this post alone you see. "Hart doesn't get you a 1st", "Ottawa has no interest in this", as if they are in fact sourced into these teams front office. This is a fan opinion based, fun, thing to do when you are bored, nothing more nothing less. None of us have any idea what trade any of these teams will execute. A bunch of Eklunds on here, lol.

Honestly curious on your thought process.

The Kings wouldn't give up Clarke for any of Eichel, Helleybuck, or PLD. Why do you think LA would trade their best RD prospect since Drew Doughty (and a 1st on top of it) for Carter Hart?

And I ask that as a person who likes Carter Hart and thinks he gets a little too much grief on here. But he isn't on the level of any of the three listed above.

Brandt Clarke is projected to be the Kings' #1 RhD eventually. Los Angeles won't be trading him, especially after having traded Durzi, Faber, Grans and Walker.

Seriously it's just an opinion, I have no expertise in the Kings prospects or untouchables. I had no idea about the information you provided. Just a Flyers fan wishlist.

I know. I was being genuine when I asked for your thought process.

I don't think this is a trade that comes close to going through, but I did want to give you the ability to state your reasons. If it's just a wish list, fair enough. I wish the Kings could have gotten Carter Hart 1-for-1 for Cal Petersen.

Hope the background I provided helped give a little more insight into the LA side of things.

Honestly - if Ottawa decides to move Pinto - this is a realistic return.

The thing is - there's no reason that they should want to move Pinto for a realistic return. They need to get him playing. There's no way they win a trade unless it's a massive overpay - he's exactly what they need.

You write Novels, Cool! As for feedback if you want that return from Buffalo it would have to be Konecny and Risto 2mil retained.

Of course no one knows what WILL happen but the point of this armchair game is also to determine if the proposed deals would make sense for the team(s) you follow.

Ottawa has no interest in your proposed deal, for many reasons

1- They are NOT looking to trade Pinto. They have been high on him for longer than any of us have heard his name. In March, they decided to trade their 12th OA pick instead of him to acquire Chychrun, which gives you an idea of how high they value him... They of course won't want to trade him for soon to be 30 y/o Laughton, even if 50% retained.

2- They are also not looking to trade Bernard-Docker, a former 1st round pick in who they invested time and ressource, unspectacular but solid defensive RHD who is a NEED for them. He's much younger than Seeler and also cost controlled while Seeler is UFA. JBD is graduating this season and will be cheap for a few years

3- Mathieu Joseph is a guy they have been after for a while. Wade Allison is 2 M$ cheaper but a major downgrade. Joseph is a very good defensive forward with elite PK metrics. He's a guy that has paced for 30 pts per 82 games in his career despite being mainly deployed defensively at ES and PK, with limited minutes.

A late 1st and the cap space is not enough for them to trade Pinto, Joseph and JBD this way. Not major downgrades this season but long term, yes.

So what is the solution for them to get cap compliant? Simply to trade Kubalik or Brannstrom for a pick. Both players that they have ready-players for (Greig and Kleven)

So this is not me giving you my opinion as a fact, it is an argumentation built on a plethora of facts and contextual team knowledge/logic
