trying to fix last 72 hrs

Created by: M0LSON
Team: 2023-24 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 4, 2023
Published: Oct. 4, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
possible options to fix the cap hell the sens are in..boucher probbly be the next waiver that gets picked up.Josh bailey could be a cheap replacement for Joseph. I see no need for parker kelly taking a roster spot. kept 4th liners as grinders ...swap out for scorers against certain teams. Pinto agrees to 1.5m with promise of better bridge when the dead cap comes off the books next season

Dude Foerster would be one of the Sens best prospects lol top 5 minimum. Boucher probably ain’t even worth a 3rd rounder himself at this point. That trade is wildly off base😂

    - Foerster is a good prospect that I would much rather have than Boucher, so that doesn't work

    - Unfortunately, no one will give us anything worthy for JBD and Sokolov now.

What do you mean "boucher probbly be the next waiver that gets picked up"? Isn't like 2 years from not being waivers exempt?

Joseph >>>>> Bailey and I'm being generous. Keep Joseph, don't sign Bailey

I don't understand how Thomson gets claimed but JBD and Sokolov don't. But, hey, good for OTT!

Why would the Flyers or Habs ever consider those?

Foerster might be the best piece in that deal and the Flyers want a hell of a plus to eat Joseph's contract. If you want an asset from the Flyers you have to add even more.

The Habs have a lot of depth bodies and don't really need Sokolov or JBD in the NHL or AHL. If they wanted either then they could have had them for free.

Its likely just a matter of time , if and when they get called up they have to clear again to go to Bellville

Wait .... You're trading 2 player who just cleared waivers for a player who actually had a 1st round value a few years post his draft ?!

Not surprised for Sokolov but JBD is surprising. Dorion gambled and won that time, it's the only time in the season where you can pass guys like that through waivers

Wouldn't be the first time Pierre Dorion does something non-sensical

Bailey simply isn't NHL level anymore

I'm gonna assume you don't know how high Foerster is of a prospect for the Flyers. He's kind of like Pinto for you guys. So this isn't even close for what the Flyers would part for.

Their value didn't change in the last 72hrs, even if you offered them to the habs for future considerations habs would still decline as all other 30 teams would too

He was probably thinking he was more of a Sokolov type. I'd say he's more a Jarventie than Pinto because Shane has already graduated and was more a 2-way center type than top-6 winger. I don't know if people have followed Jarventie's progression but Sens fans should be really high on him
