I like the Boston and Minnesota jerseys quite a bit. They're only using city names for their inaugural season though, there will be little to no branding for the inaugural season

So if you come in last and then name yourself something cool it will just become a meme?

Watching 15 minutes of the Edmunchuck OIL-spill!

That's 17 minutes I'll never get back...

After that Boeser goal the Canucks now have

•NHL leading point scorer (Pettersson)
•NHL 2nd leading point scorer (Miller)
•Joint 3rd NHL leading point scorer and NHL defense leading point scorer (Hughes)
•Joint NHL goals leader (Boeser)
•Joint NHL assist leaders (Pettersson and Hughes)
•Joint 3rd NHL assist leader (Hronek)

Demko was also top 5 in both GAA and SV% and leading in GSAx coming into this game (not sure where he’ll be once it’s done)

Kuzmenko hit in the face by a Miller slapshot. Looked pretty bad but hopefully he’s okay

I guess its the goals as technically they should be tied with VGK as they got identical records

And if Dal wins its a 3 way tie

Gonna be confusing for a while

I've always liked Hronek, glad he's popping off like he is

I’m glad the canucks are having success.

They’ve received a disproportionate amount of bad recently, and the players seem like good people. Plus the buyout of oel was very ballsy. They changed 5 defensemen this off season I believe. That’s nuts. Very hands on owner. He maybe one of the first to stop hiding. He should engage more, share his success and failure with fans. Would be genuine marketing. No reason to hide anymore, it’s obvious there’s a formal decision making process and it’s the owners words.

Still can't believe the Leafs are playing against Minnesota in Sweden instead of Ottawa... So disappointing, what an idiotic move by the schedulers

The Sens have Anton Forsberg and Brannstrom, the Leafs have Will Nylander, Klingberg and Jarnkrok, I feel like the Leafs are more interesting for the Swedes

Why Wild have more main roster Sweds than OTT does.

Dont even get why OTT is going there

They dont got no Swede club

Both Toronto and Ottawa already have a ton of established fans in Sweden thanks to Sundin, Salming, and Alfredsson. Helps that Toronto has one of the most electric Swedish players on their roster, but realistically the league is leaning into the whole "legendary Swedes" angle (aside from Minnesota of course)

For Jack Campbell sake

EDM needs to tell him to stay home and recuperate/find his game

When Jack had that very rough stretch in Toronto thats what they did (he was hurt to but you get it). And it worked

He really just needs to get away from hockey and it may really help him rebound.

The Red Wings were down 4 goals half way trough the second and are now tied. Wild!

EDIT: I realized that they scored all four goals in the second period as well which is even more insane.

An interesting piece of trivia...

Last summer, Bedard, Carlsson and Fantilli went 1-2-3 in draft. Currently, they are 1st, 6th and 4th in scoring race, respectively.

1. Connor Bedard….....13 -- 9 -- 4 -- 13 (2023 1st)
2. Logan Cooley…........15 -- 1 -- 10 -- 11
3. Pavel Mintyukov…...16 -- 1 -- 9 -- 10
4. Adam Fantilli….........16 -- 4 -- 5 -- 9 (2023 3rd)
4. Luke Evangelista…...15 -- 1 -- 8 -- 9
6. Leo Carlsson…..........11 -- 6 -- 2 -- 8 (2023 2nd)
6. Bobby Brink…...........13 -- 3 -- 5 -- 8
6. Luke Hughes…..........14 -- 1 -- 7 -- 8
6. Marco Rossi…...........15 -- 5 -- 3 -- 8
6. Matthew Knies….......15 -- 4 -- 4 -- 8
6. Matthew Poitras…....15 -- 4 -- 4 -- 8

In NHL history, only ten #1 picks have gone on to win the Calder Trophy the following year (eleven if you include Ovechkin who was drafted in 2004 but won in first season, 2005-06).

Only three times have #1 and #2 gone in same spots in Calder race the following year (most recent being 2016-17 when Matthews and Laine finished 1-2).

Here's the question.....Can anyone name the one year when picks 1-2-3 went in same order for Calder in following year?
