No, Columbus would not consider that. They do not have another good option for 1 RD after Jiricek. They have Fantilli, Sillinger, KJ, Del Bel, Voronkov, Laine, and Texier for 25 and under center options.

Not interested, Sabres need to clear room up front for prospects. Kulich, Rosen, Benson, Savoie would not be rushed if they start full-time NHL duties next season. Kulich and Rosen would both have 2 full AHL years under their belts and Benson and Savoie would have multiple years of junior development as well as some pro experience. It would work to send Joki to Vancouver for a 3rd.



Fair enough. I really like Jiricek. I don't think he's irreplaceable for Columbus given the talent they have in the pipeline on D (granted most are LHD).

He is absolutely irreplaceable. Their next closest RD prospect is Ceulemans and he's nowhere near the prospect Jiricek is. There's nobody in the lineup currently that comes close to the player he projects to be either.

Jiricek has gotta be untouchable right now.

SJ maybe does that if Kahkonen still can't find his form but they really just don't have the roster space for UPL
