Trading for quality pieces instead of prospects is what led to JH10's era of mediocrity when we could have had a brand new core worth of FRPs for Tkachuk.

We have the Pelletiers, Wolfs, Coronatos and Honzeks for a much better core than we have now, we just need to give them time, draft a true 1C and get some dmen that fit their age range.

Don't mind this at all, I think we can give him top minutes and get more than that for him in the case of a rebuild.

Sens are my second team, we're in a hard spot with Joseph because every manager in the league and their dog knows we need the cap space for Pinto, so our desperation will probably lead to us getting rid of him for free.

Guys like Matthieu Joseph, Erik Brannstrom, Andrew Peeke, Jake Bean, Cole Sillinger, should all be had for Pennie’s on the Dollar. Pursue more guys like Liljegren & Krebs for example who we know are NHL Players with long-term futures

In that Boston deal, if you take Derek Forbort or Matt Grzelcyk, you can pretty much remove the retention discussion on 2 of the players. Maybe there is another way as well,

I’d assume with that retention, you’d be able to get a first for DeBrusk if you waited to the trade deadline.

While it`s a good trade and allows to sign Pinto, and getting something instead of paying to move (like the narrative this summer), I would still much rather move Kubalik and keep Joseph
