If they do move their recent #1 pick for the reason being an uninspiring offensive production, they wouldn’t target one that’s currently being criticized for the same thing. No need to make a fuss about it.

Zegras is off to a slow start, Slaf hasn't produced anything better than middle 6 yet in his entire career. If MTL wanted to take the project with the higher upside he should have been sent to Laval, not started to burn his waivers slide eligibility.

In his 50 games... C'mon, you know this is awful. We might give up on him after 200 games with bad numbers, but 50 games... its just silly.
