FLA
Bobrovsky with a $6,000,000 x 2, could be a solid temporary starter for a young team. Say Florida loses in the second round in the playoffs and Bob plays at a decent 0.910%-ish. How much would it cost Florida to move him with this price?
    CHI
    1. Bobrovsky, Sergei ($4,000,000 retained)
    2. 2026 2nd round pick (FLA)
    Additional Details:
Perhaps Chicago wouldn't be on his 16-team M-NTC / he would waive with Bedard and Chicago making some moves to become better.

I don't see either Bob or CHI looking to do that trade. CHI will more likely than not just have FLA keep Bob and they'll target Reinhart as a UFA.

If Bobrovsky wants to leave a low taxed state, maybe a 1st rounder that Chicago wouldn't part with since they need their picks

One way to save money would be to avoid giving Zadorov a horiffic contract for someone who is really just a big 5th D-man

Assuming Bob would even waive, it takes at least a 1st to dump Bob in Chicago. It's still 2x$6m for a player the Hawks don't really need and who doesn't make them that much better. Hawks got 2nd rounders for taking Zaitsev and Bailey for one year with lower cap hits.

Chicago declines, you can keep Bob.
Hawks need to suck for another year or two and get high picks.

The only way I see this deal happening is if Chicago has a 2nd deal lined up to flip Bobrovsky to another team (Toronto, Edmonton, Carolina, L.A.).

So Florida sends Bob ($4m retained) and a 2nd pick to Chicago for FC.

Chicago sends Bob (50% retained) to a third team for a 2nd round pick.

At the end of the day the Hawks walk away with 2 x 2nd round picks for retaining $3m for the last two years of Bobrovsky’s contract.

Only other way I would think they would be interested is if Soderblom is terrible this year and shows he is not even capable of bridging the gap to the other goalie prospects. 2 years becomes a good stop gap, but still gonna need more than just a 2nd for Hawks to take on that cap. They can sign a free agent stopgap for half that amount.
