Additional Details:

Projected middle 6 prospect with a high motor, good numbers in the O last year and this year, big body.

Last chance U for Jones, gets a ton of minutes in Calgary.
NYR
  1. Lindholm, Elias ($2,425,000 retained)

I’d rather add another pick than lose BMB. Rangers have 0 center prospects

Funny I have the same thought about the Flames.. haha, they have a few they can slide to the middle like Honzek and Zary but I worry about their C depth going forward. I would prefer the Flames target prospects instead of picks, Sykora maybe?? What would you value BMB at? 2nd round pick?

Arizona deal would max out at (2) 2nd round picks and a prospect (maybe 2 prospects if one of them is a c tier or below)

Pretty sure the Calgary asking price is why AZ called off their scouts. 3 AZ pro scouts were at every game for about 2 weeks then they all got recalled.

They drafted him in the 3rd. Right now it’s hard to value him but the NYR seems to like the type of player he is and hope he becomes a 3C.

But then again it’s tricky because if Chytil’s career is in jeopardy, then they might need him to be ready sooner. Obviously if he’s fine, then Mika-Chytil-Trocheck would be their centers for 3+ years

2 seconds and a top end prospect would be better than the deal above in my mind. Outside of the big dogs in the system which prospect could you see Arizona make available? Lamoureux/Geekie/Duda?

There’s about a 0 percent chance Arizona is moving their 1st this year. Injuries are wrecking the team. We’ll make a run at Hanafin in free agency

That is a horrible return for Lindholm

Idk why you are giving Zadorov to Edmonton for free

Beauvillier at 50% is worth more than a 4th

That's fair, as mentioned above what would you think about 2 2nds and better prospect??

Seems like a realistic price for a retained Tanev with the conditions on the pick.

Lets not pretend he was on pace for more than 45 point before last night. He's played his way into a corner where he's going to want money that no one is going to give him and hit the market to the highest bidder regardless of where he goes at the deadline.

Zadorov pulling a prospect and a second at full pop is not out of this world underselling him. Taking on Ceci is hardly detrimental.

Meh, maybe!

I came to this post thinking I would see a delusional fan overvaluing every trade. Very fair value for each trade.

Im not saying Lindholm has played amazing in this early season but he's dirt cheap (especially if we retain) and has a track record for being a very good 2-way center. That alone will garner a load of interest, especially from teams who need that type of player (Boston, Minnesota, Detroit, etc)

He's also not going to be traded for at least another 2 months so last nights game will absolutely be part of the "price." If he's at a 60-70 point pace by the deadline playing with no star players then nobody is going to point at 1 game and say ignore that one because he had 3 points.

As for the Zadorov trade, you said yourself in the trade that the 2nd was to dump Ceci. So you are giving them Zadorov for what is likely a career AHLer. I don't mind taking on Ceci for a 2nd if we have the roster spot and cap space but we can trade Zadorov elsewhere for value too

Timeline of the deal obviously a huge factor.

Maybe a guy like Jan Jenik or Victor Soderstrom. Both quality prospects that are close to breaking into the league.

in my opinion the canucks should do this trade. i like klim but he's a luxary type prospect. trading away this years first would be worth it if it means a wcf appearance.

Tanev's existing relationship with current roster players, chemistry with hughes, and the fact he is a top 4 RHD makes him the perfect target

should be an easy yes for allvin and co.

If hypothetically Chytil is done for life(I doubt this is the case tbh). This gives NYR the best lineup down the middle in the league which beside goaltending is the most important thing in playoffs. And if Chytil plays next season(or this) we still have 1-3C covered. If not, we could easily pick someone up in UFA for 3C to bridge till we draft and develop a good C. Zibby, troch are locked in for awhile. Hopefully Chytil is ok for the long haul but finding a 3C with 4M will be easy
