lol. He was a cap dump last year. He’s a replacement level player on an awful team. You apparently don’t watch and see a team that gets caved every night.
The hawks got them because they are tanking. That’s what a tank is. Get a bunch of bad players and play them a lot.
Their PK was 22nd last year and 23rd this year and he played the most forward minutes on it. He isn’t a great penalty killer
Again, you apparently aren't watching the Hawks play game in and game out. I'm very aware of who the the Hawks are and why they acquired him as a cap dump, but what you miss on the basics by not watching him is resulting in you making a bunch of wrong assumptions (and arguing with someone who watches every game LOL) simply because he was a cap dump by the Knucks (poorly run org) and the Hawks are tanking so he must suck.
If you actually watched, you would realize that Dickinson has been a surprise highlight on a bad team ever since they acquired him, and he's doing that by playing a bottom 6 role at 14 1/2 minutes a game average, he's not getting more minutes on the Hawks in other words. For you to suggest he's only had 1 good game is painfully clear you have no idea what type of player he is and what he's bringing to the ice. To suggest he's the problem on the PK shows again you aren't watching him play.
Dickinson is the exact type of bottom 6 player playoff teams want; fast, strong on the forecheck and backcheck, good on the PK, physical and plays in the dirty areas...his game translates to playoff hockey. Now whether he generates a 2nd, 3rd or 4th in return is debatable, but to suggest he's a cap dump today and had 1 good game because you simply looked at a stat sheet is a failed analysis.
