Canucks pass easily. If it’s done at the draft like you say Monahan has no value has he’d be a UFA, and Matheson isn’t worth Lekkerimaki + Garland + a 1st. Especially with his history with Pettersson

With that analysis, we wonder why you aren’t running a NHL team. Vancouver is a better team with this trade at the dealine. Not even a debate their. Depending on their intention at the deadline, this make sense if they think they can go all the way.

I'd rather have Podkolzin instead of Lekkerimaki

While still early, at this point of their careers Lekkerimaki is definitely the more valuable piece imo. I still think Podkolzin can become a quality middle 6 player though, but Lekkerimaki is looking really good in the SHL this season

The value may be fair but Im not entirely sure Vancouver is inclined to add Matheson at this time. Monahan makes some sense and I bet they are still trying to move Garland but above that, the rest is pushing it.

VAN would NEVER do this trade, 1. The value is hilariously in Montreal's favor, Matheson isn't worth Lekkerimaki alone let alone a 1st and Garland on top of that, and 2. Matheson has a history with Pettersson, good luck getting EP40 to sign an extension if you sign the guy who literally threw him onto the ice and gave him a concussion.
