  1. Krebs, Peyton
Additional Details:
with dach and newhook injuries it opens a spot for MSL to try and revive another former promising prospect career, if the price is right id love to trade for him .
BUF
what would be a fair trade for both teams considering the habs are in a rebuild and cant trade away too much future or any 1st rnd picks , is there a way to make a deal involving allen and/or dvorak ?

Buf shouldn’t have any desire for Dvorak or Allen in a Krebs trade. The salaries alone are bordering on dump territory for both. Krebs may not ever become anything, but he’s also rarely gotten chances away from sucky players who are well past their expiration date (Okposo Girgensons). So to answer your question, not unless MTL would give futures, as I would imagine there would be a better offer from someone else looking to rehabilitate Krebs if moved.

Switch with another young forward like Harvey Pinard or Ylonen? Habs would need to add a sweatener

    Maybe with a pick attached.

Probably would do Barron, possibly with a pick from Buf side.

Bottom line would be Buf would want a younger player than the ones the OP said

Montreal just doesn’t have any of the personnel that would move the needle for Buffalo to move Krebs. At least not any that they would be willing to trade.

Krebs for a young D man would make the most sense in the context of Montreal. Arber, Harris, Barron would all be of interest I'd say

    We got Luke Tuch
I dont know if you've been watching him this year
But he's Celebrini and Hustons Protector and Go to Guy
He took Huge Steps forward last year after Hutson and Coach Pandolfo ripped appart the team he was on for 2 years where everyone sucked.
Since he's been a top line Veteran Leader

Krebs for Tuch and MTL's 1st top 5 protected and if MTL keeps it they get CGY pick next year
Krebs gets more then Dach yielded who was a higher pick and better projected forward
BUF would have gotten a Pair of Tuch's in their Eichel trade this way to which has no value ,i just find funny.

    Harris , Sold
Struble was mentored by Harris and plays the same game
In Harris absence Strubles stepped up too much to send back down
This would actually solve a problem for us because Harris is too good to give less minutes to

Would have to be from the left side since MTL can’t really spare any from the right but it’s an interesting idea. What do you propose?

One for one Krebs for Harris. Sabres would probably add a pick or another prospect if Arber or Barron were the targets. We got a ton of B level forward prospects and a few D ones too that would be available. Any of our picks could be in the mix to make the value happen.

thats a HORRIBLE trade for MTL and an extreme overpayment for a player that havent proved anything yet its literally a dream scenario for buffalo

OK, Montreal‘s best prospects that would be of interest Buffalo likely include Sean Farrell, Luke Tuch, and Reinbacher. Since Buffalo has more than enough left-handed defensemen, I don’t see them wanting to bring in another one unless the offer were simply too good not to. Obviously, Reinbacher is probably as untouchable as Cole Caulfield. Trades between division rivals are hard because you could live to regret it for years to come, watching your guy kick the crap out of you in somebody else’s sweater for the next decade.

A Harris for Krebs swap works for me. I like Harris but with the logjam at LD and fall of Dach, why not?

Not to mention Newhook being out for a few months. May even go as far as to add Luke Tuch in the deal

    We're good with that
Tuch we love as his Chemistry with Huston is great
That said his role at a top line LW Veteran isnt needed in MTL currently
We have players to fill that spot most notably Slafkovsky

    We need a Center
That said Converting Tuch who's been taking draws for Cellerbini all year , its not that hard it just would take 1-2 extra years at the AHL level we dont have.
Krebs development being where it is ,its just kinda perfect for us

Tuch will be joining the NHL after this year
Whether he'll stay or not im unsure
But i do know he plays like a Power Forward and leap frogged many to take the role by Celebrini as he was suppose to play with Hughes Son this year.
My Point is Tuch could be ready for BUF before Krebs is ready for MTL
