In what make-believe world would Josh Anderson ($8 million on a $5.5 million cap hit) be "an excellent fit with the Kings' system"? He eats $h!t defensively and has fewer points than 11 Kings forwards, including 3 who play RW regularly, and only one point more than RW Alex Laferriere, who has played 4 fewer games. With Viktor Arvidsson coming off the LTIR list and Arthur Kaliyev also capable of playing RW, Los Angeles wouldn't pick Anderson up off waivers (although I'm sure some team would).
Has it entirely escaped your attention that on a per-game basis, the Kings are in the top 3 of the League in goals scored? Los Angeles doesn't need help on the forward line, even as far down as Anderson would be playing.
