No from Winnipeg. Might as well just keep the better player.

Markstrom could be available but that's not getting him, especially not with retention.

If WPG were to ever entertain trading Ehlers, it would be to address the need at 2C or 1RD. These players do nothing for them right now.

Honestly, I thought Mitts was a UFA and that he'd be a rental. The trade would have to come with an extension then it miight be considered?... But personally, as a WPG fan, I don't like it and would rather have Ehlers.

Have you watched Ehlers this season? He's worth way more than this and if there's an extension in place the price only goes up

I'd be happy to offer you the same lecture about the players Winnipeg is receiving here

So why would BUF want to trade them away? Good numbers on a bad team (once again) playing 3rd line minutes and 2nd PP. The other guy is playing in the AHL unable to crack the roster of a bad team (yet). Ehlers is a top line winger having the best start to a season in his career and he missed all of training camp.

Mittelstadt has been 1 or 2C for 1.3 years. We missed the playoffs by 1 pt last year and had 2 less pts than Winnipeg in the hardest division in hockey.

Teams often make changes after bad seasons.

Rosen is 20years old

I feel like this would be a really good trade if the Jets were having a difficult start to the season. Unfortunately it just doesn't make sense with the place the Jets are at right now. Namestnikov has been doing an admirable job holding down 2c, even with his ~35% faceoff percentage.

Also the Jets have a very saturated prospect pool, with the exception of RHD. If you have a RHD prospect with a similar value to Rosen the Jets would probably jump on this.

Oh, my bad. Doesn't change the RHD thing, but it does now kind of depend whether the Jets front office thinks Lambert is ready to play 2c (or whether McGroarty is gonna come out of college early).
