I do not believe the Ducks need D, they have Drysdale, Zellweger, Mintyukov and Luneau as good young D and Fowler and Gudas as vets. I would say they are pretty set at D

Ducks need high end talent and Wifi ain't it, and Reinbacher is looking a bit rough since picked.

You guys can just draft Buium, Dickinson, Silayev or Levshunov if you need D. No need to move that pick for Reinbacher. Also I think Eiserman would be the perfect addition to this team . An elite goal scorer would be insane

MTL aren’t doing the ducks trade. Other than Lev, there is no D prospect like Reinbacher in this draft. Lev is gone by ANA pick

I agree with everything said above about Anaheim's depth on D.

Plus Montreal sits at 7th overall right now, but there is a good chance that they could go lower, as the Habs have the 6th toughest remaining schedule of any team according to Tankathon. There is a decent chance that Ottawa (7 points behind Montreal, but the Sens have 4 games in hand and 12th easiest remaining schedule) , Buffalo (1 point behind Montreal with 2 more games played but they have the 7th easiest schedule remaining) and even Columbus (3 points behind with 2 more games played than Montreal, but only have the 14th toughest remaining schedule) could catch them.

This would put Montreal anywhere from 6th to 4th overall (subject to what happens in the draft lottery) There is a strong chance that Demidov would be available to the Habs without making a trade given that Celebrini, Eiserman, Levshunov and probably even Dickinson and Lindstrom will go ahead of him. There is also Helenius and Catton out there to draft in the top 10 if necessary.

Buium is small, very different player from Reinbacher. Dickinson is not as good as Rein though

Dickinson is better. Reinbacher projects as a 2nd pair D who complements someone like Hutson. Zeev Buium is over 6 foot now seen reports he might be 6’2

Absolutely Mtl already have a hard time keeping their head out of the water. It’s a matter of time when they start to drop in the standing. Chicago and San Jose are probably lock at 31st and 32nd rank. But Mtl will be right there by the end of the season. When the market will activate and Mtl start selling players victory will be extremely hard to get. I expect them to pick again top 5.

To each their own but I definitely have questions about his all around game. Great shot, not much else. I'm not sure I'd want to spend a top 5 pick on that. Real risky.

Good question...who does have best group of U23 d prospects? I think Anaheim has as strong a case as any...

But who else would be in running?

Ducks
Mintyukov -- Drysdale
Zellweger -- Moore
Lacombe -- Luneau/Helleson

Columbus?
Mateychuk -- Jiricek
Svozil -- Ceulemans
Strathmann -- Richard

Detroit?
Edvinsson -- Seider
Wallinder -- Sandin-Pellikka
Buium -- Gibson

Minnesota?
Lambos -- Faber
Peart -- Spacek
Hunt -- O'Rourke

Others...

ARI
Simashev -- Soderstrom
Duda -- Lamoureux
Morden -- Langlois

BUF
Power -- McCarthy
Johnson -- Strbak
Lindgren -- Lyckasen

CHI
Korchinski -- Rinzel
Vlasic -- Crevier
Kaiser -- Kelley

NJD
Hughes -- Nemec
Vilen -- Casey
Orlov -- Edwards

SJS
Thrun -- Mukhamadullin
Furlong -- Pohlkamp
Cagnoni -- Havelid/Fisher

First, its an elite shot....worthy of a top-5 pick on its own, imo

Second, the "Eiserman is lazy" trope is the same thing they have said about many NTDP prospects that came before him.

This guy is lazy. That guy doesn't go heavy into boards. Such and such can't play against men.

Its a skills based development program! It looks different to many who watch other leagues.

Watch the games...I honestly have no idea where that comes from.

I didn't say he was lazy but thank you for the input
