Description

Just a few moves in the offseason as they continue the rebuild. MTL is not a playoff team in 2024 nor are they in 2025 in my opinion. And starting the 24-25 season with Price on the IR instead of LTIR gives KH even more flexibility next season. This of course is assuming that Price can be placed on LTIR at anytime during the season. This will allow MTL to take on bad one year deals from cap-strapped teams looking to get cap space.

Then in the summer of 2025, KH can start going after UFAs or bigger deals to complete the team for a consistent playoff push.

Dvorak is on pace for 10 goals and 23 points this season, not sure how he's worth $4.45M cap hit...in fact, he's not which means Mtl will need to hope someone takes him for free or pay to move him.

Hawks decline. Montreal can flip Dvorak at the deadline themselves. The return might not even justify the retention slot that'd have to be used in any Dvorak trade

oilers decline. would not do this at the draft. if they really want Allen they would buy out Campbell and send you a 2nd and keep the rest of their picks and prospects.

Edmonton declines. They are just going to buy out Campbell this offseason if they are unable to trade him at the trade deadline.
