The Sabres aren't going to retain on anyone so I doubt the oilers/EJ are a fit unless they move money out elsewehere

Pretty sure there is a consensus amongst knowledgeable Hawks fans here that the LD depth in Chicago is there..... making Broberg pointless.

They can correct me, but I have seen that feedback too many times

Even though Campbell would cost a lot to dump, Id say that this offer clearly is in MTLs favor. Assuming Campbell goes with two first to start, Id say adding a second to that for Allen’s value is closer to the truth. Or maybe replacing the second with Holloway if MTL also adds a guy like Kovacevic

You are correct; currently with the Hawks are Vlasic, Korchinski and Philips, in Rockford are Del Mastro, Allan, Roos and Kaiser so finding a place for Broberg would be difficult. If they were to go for a LHD I think they would probably choose a more established veteran like Hanifin in FA.

That’s an assumption with facts not in evidence

I assume the sabres aren't going to retain on anyone, and will probably be right.

Quite possibly, but ppl act like there’s been some kind of directive from Pegula

well the "rumour" (and i emphasize this) is that he doesn't want to pay people to not be here anymore. We'll see if that's true re: players and coaches. I personally don't mind with the players at the deadline but I'd be pretty upset if they made absolutely no changes to the coaching staff simply because terry pegula didn't want to pay them to not be here. I don't even mean granato, like any of them.

As stated, hawks aren't interested in broberg but what is that Campbell trade? I'm usually the one saying it costs more to dump Campbell but dam. That trade is terrible for Edmonton. I believe Campbell costs 2 firsts to dump. If Edmonton wants Allen as their backup it shouldn't cost more than a 3rd and I feel like that's even a lot. A 4th is probably more realistic

Well, even in your words, that’s just a “rumor”

Agreed, although I wouldn't complain if that's what the Oilers wanted to pay lol
