Neither Columbus player fills a need, so that's a no for Winnipeg.

Is Mittelstadt more of a winger than a center? Is so that's a no as well. If he is a center, it's unlikely Winnipeg gives up a newly acquired young player, so Kupari world need to be switched to a prospect.

After all the idea is to add depth for the playoffs.

The more relevant point is the chanes the Sabres trade Mittelstadt mid season, let a lone for prospects/picks, is basically zero.

It's not like they're going anywhere with him this year, so I could see them move him.

He's a pending RFA, not a UFA. And they can't afford to sell off good forwards for prospects and picks anymore. Even if it were the smart play (it's not necessarily), you'd almost certainly lose what fans have remained throughout the 13 year drought.

There's no chance they move him in season. Not unless a team loses their mind and deals a cost controlled RHD for him.

That's cool. I'm not particularly high on him anyways. If they like him they should keep him.

Sorry Winnipeg wins the trade hands down you’re delusional. Not up for debate.

Edit. The only debate is you haven’t heard of voronkov. If you have then yes you are delusional.

Forward prospects do nothing for Buffalo. Only prospect that moves the needle is Salomonsson

No kidding. "Doesn't fit a need". Every damn team has a need for a player like Voronkov lol.

Everything else aside, Columbus would be delusional to trade Voronkov. He should be locked in as a piece of the young core along with Fantilli, Jiricek, Johnson, ect

Lol
Makes sense that u aren’t “particularly high on him” since u don’t seem to know much about him,
including wondering if he’s “more of a winger than a center”

But like others have said,
Sabres aren’t trading Mitts for ANYTHING like has been proposed, or like u suggest

@Thrillhouse,
There’s no chance at all the Sabres do anything like this

Sabres will not trade Mittelstadt unless its for a top 4 RHD or potentially for a goalie. Mitts for Pionk + could make sense

Yeah value aside, teams don't move their (2nd-best) rookie center on a team starved for centers and a defenseman with a full NTC halfway through the first year of an 8 year deal.

You're not high on anyone unless they wear a Jets jersey.
