I think Ottawa and Washington both address needs and would be good for both sides.

dont think a rental mantha (even at 50%) gets you a 2nd. 19pts prolly not top 6 either more like 3rd line

It depends id be way more open to a 2025 1st if we get another 1st from a Senko trade. Otherwise id rather target a 2024 1st

Is all the Zegras trade stuff just from him getting hurt or what? I don't even know why he's been everywhere here lately.

They could also take back expiring salary like they did last year with taking back Craig Smith from Boston.

There's rumors that Verbeek has mentioned his name in trade talks.

taking klingberg does nothing to help the leafs in a way that is worth giving up anything extra for a meh guy like TVR, and TVR isnt worth two thirds

That would certainly get Zegras but don't know if Caps should do that. Maybe replace Chesley with Iorio.

Possible. Playoff teams will be looking for size and depth.

I know the trade says "any team", but for my money, if I'm AZ, I'd be more interested in Kuznetsov if I was shopping. Adds center depth, can play wing. See if he is rejuvenated by a move. Can replace Zucker after he gets dealt at TDL or lineup at center. Still think they should sell, but it'd be worth considering.

Considering what the leafs are running on D, TVR would be a substantial upgrade. As I said, the Klingberg bit is only for real world money purposes, not anything related to the cap. TVR is absolutely worth two thirds.

If Kuznetsov would waive for Arizona and there was interest from the yotes, that would be great as a caps fan.

The leafs wouldn't have real money worries if klingberg made league max and Being an upgrade on simon benoit does not make a player more valuable than he is, and no tvr isn't worth that

They won’t - a retool is more likely. They’re married to this idea of being competitive as long as Ovi is around, regardless of whether it’s a good idea or not.
