That doesn't mean they are trading Marner. It means they aren't going to waste future assets for rentals that do nothing for the team down the road.

LMAO, Marner is not worth that for a 1 1/2 year rental from a rebuilding team...not a chance! Hawks wouldn't do that trade if it was Korchinksi for Marner straight up

Hard Pass from Calgary. Even if Anderson was available, they would ask for an overpayment in any trade. He is a top pairing RD, on a great contract with term.

Calgary would want a top C prospect, a D prospect and a 1st. Buffalo, AZ, NJ, Ottawa, and CBJ could all easily outbid Toronto for him.
