Marco Kasper drafted 8th overall 19 points in 36 games in Grand Rapids > Justin Barron drafted 25th overall 29 points in 87 games in Montreal. Yeah that's not getting it done either. We're fine at RHD for the time being.

Monahan was a serviceable cap dump with 1 year at 6.3 mil and that cost Calgary a first. I would want a first to take on Anderson. Anderson has a slightly lower cap hit but he has two years. The 2nd year extending into Bedard’s next contract. And who knows what ‘serviceable’ will look like for Anderson by the 25-26 season.

Yup, between Hab fans and Leaf fans they give Canadian fans a bad reputation.

Pretty easy decline from Detroit.
Kasper, who had a slow start to his AHL career, has been really good as of late. Plus, he's 19.

Yup and i'm pretty sure that his broken knee cap had a lot to do with his slow start, Same thing with Rasmussen.

Anderson is a bull. He needs to play at full speed and in straight lines.
Not sure how that would fit into Chicago's play style?
He's trying to adapt to changes of pace and more of an East-West style, but obviously that isn't going well so far.
If you think you need a player like that he's worth considering, but from Montreal's perspective, there's no need to move him yet, so I wouldn't pay to do it.
I'm okay if nobody else wants him, but if you do, it has to be because you see value in him, not in picks that might come with him.

Hawks will probably be done collecting picks and bad contracts by the 25/26 season. They'll be integrating their own '22 and '23 draft picks into the forward group by then. Hawks might do this if Anderson is still a useful player and fills a need in their lineup. Otherwise, Hawks probably decline.

I don't think CHI would have any problem taking on another bad contract at that point, because any kids CHI has coming into the NHL ranks over the next few years won't need to get paid until his contract is up, anyway. CHI might even still be struggling to get to the salary floor, honestly.

My concern is whether that is enough. I don't think a 2nd pays for two years of a $5.5M cap dump, but those are also two of the cheapest years of his contract, since it was mid loaded. But, It took a 2nd for VAN to dump two years of Dickinson on CHI, and his deal is half the price. So, it really depends on how useful Anderson is at that point. If he is playing well enough but MTL just needs the cap space, it could be doable.
