This one I think Columbus accepts. A fair deal for both players, which is rare for a Jenner trade.

Its more of a rebuilding team with an older guy getting paid for 8 years...They wanted to add him for a playoff team and this team regressed this year with all the garbage with Babcock...My thought of getting him on the WPG side is he is a big body RD who is a home boy...which is what WPG needs.

no but his contract is literal insanity. runs until he's like 37. whoever is GM after jarmo would probably love to have that chain off their neck.

boone alone is worth probably more than a first and a second at this point given a cheap deal that runs for two more seasons.

appleton is bemstrom but more expensive, older, and we have to keep him next year
kupari isn't an NHL guy
lucius is an injury prone prospect that would be buried behind a million other players in our system
cbj have no reason to want to resign logan stanley, who is a 3rd pair left D at best

so you think getting us out of the severson contract is what gets this deal done?

Boone Jenner: 0 assists in 5v5 this year.

Wouldn’t put him in top-6.

Agreed. He should be on the third line. But that's no reason to move him. He's an ideal third liner for a young team like Columbus. But... this offer doesn't upset me like most of them do.

The wingers can create offence for him. If Vladdy can get .60 points per game(mostly 5v5), anyone can...and he is getting 56% faceoff wins which we need on the PP and 5v5...That line basically plays line 3 mins 5v5 anyways with the Lows line getting 16-17 mins per game

He was 2nd in 5v5 goals in the NHL behind only panarin before he took a puck to the face. You can really put him anywhere in the lineup and both special teams. He’s not a huge play driver but can score and is one of the best faceoff guys in the league

It goes until he's 36. He'd actually fit in really well with the Jets' window imo. He's 29 now and the Jets' core is all 27-31.
