The Bert Trade is imo fair, this is a divisional rival move so yes he is worth a 1st, retention plus a 5th going back for Myrenberg imo seems fair, more can be added if need be but I feel like it shouldn’t

Only way I can see the bruins moving their first this year is it's for a center they intend to lock up long term, i.e. Lindholm. We just don't have enough assets to do this for Bert.

Have you been watching Brodie this season. No where near that worth. If anything think what the Leafs gave up for Schenn last season....a third.

He’s playing top pair minutes & the top PK, he has great track record besides this season, Chiarot got a 1st so can Brodie like why tf do other guys get to sell players at a premium but we can’t?

I guess technically you'd be right, but the reality is that in last 10 pages of Bruins ACGM's.....only 3 have had a deal with TOR with Bertuzzi coming back to Boston.

Peeke isn't good and Leafs don't want his cap for two full seasons. Roslovic isn't fine but he could be available. He certainly doesn't displace Domi at 3C or even Kampf at 4C

Domi at 3C is a liability defensively & his faceoffs are super wonk, Peeked is forced into Top 4 minutes, In a lesser role he’d be fine imo

Devils need defence so they get a guy who’s had a great track record playing the top 4 minutes & the top PK, Chiarot got a 1st why do we need to be giving a deal?
