Kaliyev may want out

Created by: KINGS67
Team: 2023-24 Los Angeles Kings
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 24, 2024
Published: Jan. 24, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Unfortunate that it might have come to this. TMAC has killed this kids development.

No I don’t know the needs for teams
What can a return look like? I’m hoping for another guy that needs a change of scenery.

These are players that I’d hope kings can get back or something similar.

        I thought about that.

Kaliyev is younger but monahan is the more experienced guy with the better stats.

I’d say picks need to be involved probably. I also was looking into Harris.

        Sens decline that unfortunately.

Pinto is part of their long term plan. He's not on the trading block.

I would take Kaliyev in a second but the pieces would have to be different.

Swapping Kaliyev for Monahan looks like a logical swap. A contender trading a young player for a more established UFA veteran.
Kaliyev for Robertson seems to a logical/similar swap, though I believe Robertson has upside.

Yeah, I doubt kings just sell him for peanuts. It has to be a swap for another player who definitely needs a change of scenery or for a more established guy on the trade block.

I’m sure kings could add. Turcotte MAYBE could be in the deal.

If the Kings are interested in Harris to maybe build out the left side of the defense and pair with Spence if he’s not traded too.

Struble is the better of the two IMO, he has harris' defensive abilities and physicality but is also a better offensive threat.

That would work, Turcotte + Kaliyev for Monahan

I’m really not sure LA would trade turcotte.

But MTL seems like a good trading partner imo.

Honestly there's likely a deal that can be struck involving both. Add to Kaliyev but still definitely in the realm of possibility.

That’s just the base of the trade. Not sure what else would be needed whether it’s picks/prospects

        Chychrun possibly

Chychrun may be available but they would need a RHD worked in there (Spence or Roy [with an extension]) the picks would need to be balanced out also.

I would be fine to trade Chychrun to the West Coast as I don't want to see him in the Atlantic lol.

Yeah, it’s tough with Roy. Not sure he’ll get traded this deadline. Id say more offseason deal.

Kaliyev too could be offseason deal.

Maybe something like Kaliyev. Roy(extension in the offseason). For chychrun and ‘24 2nd ‘24 4th. Idk.

        Yeah.

I think a few teams are matches for LA.

MTL. OTT. PHI probably being the biggest.

Can’t send Kaliyev to a west coast team. Especially a team like EDM. He scores 40-50G on a team like that.

Foerester would be a good one.
