avs do this if they decide on Henrique or Monahan instead of Lindholm. Or they just do it for FC.

Good on the Rangers end. Sort of Vatrano like add that worked in 2022, saw a lot of similarities Beau's game on the Island and Vatrano's pre NYR.

Kuzmenko to Chicago won’t work.
Chicago has younger players that are better than him.
Easy pass Canucks.

Personally I think the Oilers will keep those assets and buyout Campbell in the summer.

Does anyone know the injury timeline for Tyler Johnson? The Hawks might not even have to retain if he's done for the regular season, he could just go on LTIR and give the Avs more cap room to work with.

Chicago needs stop gap players, so it will work and furthermore, Chicago's intent can easily be to retain on him and flip him at the TDL

Hawks don't need Broberg, they have a massive logjam at LHD with younger players and prospects so Hawks would decline. Holloway or Bourgault could be other options.

He's not on LITR so he will be back. Something to do with his foot, but he got hurt on NYE and there's no need to rush him back.

The only 2 prospects the Oilers won't trade are Holloway and Akey

I wouldn't do that either.

And I'm not sure why you'd rate Akey so much higher than Broberg, the Swede is dominating in the AHL right now and Akey has miles to go before he even makes the AHL squad. We simply don't know what we have with him, and he's 3-4 years from showing us. Broberg can help the NHL team now.

Why? The fact that he's not playing has nothing to do with Broberg, and everything to do with the fact he's waivers exempt and the guys ahead of him are playing extremely well right now.

I mean, Kulak has been on ice for 1GA in all of January (all situations), the fewest of any defenseman in the NHL. There's no reason to have Broberg playing 8-10 minutes in the NHL when he can be playing 25 in the AHL and dominating. Much better for his development. BTW, he has scored 10 points and is plus-8 in his past 10 games.

Edmonton has won their past 16 games and 24 of their past 27. They don't "need" Broberg in the NHL even if his play warrants it.

A 1st and Akey isn't enough to move Campbell. I like Akey as a prospect but he isn't worth a whole lot. I would probably buy in if KD did this, but I still think he'd be leaving quite a bit of value on the table.
