If we can't get a 2024 second for Adam Henrique, it isn't worth trading him. What good is a 2024 third when we already have one AFTER picks #65 and 67?

We'd offer a 25 2nd that can turn into a 24 2nd if we make the ECF.

Do you think he spends 1st, 2nd, 3rd and two of our best two prospects for one game?

I would not let the outdoor game change anything…other than, if we start selling, do it after that game.

Max Willman sweepstakes start Feb 18th.

Clarke + 3rd is a better offer than just a 2nd

CHI wouldn't do that. They are pretty high on Slaggert, whereas Stillman is bordering on bust territory, imo.

He's been a bust based on draft position for a while.

However, I still expect him to be a quality 4th liner/pest in the NHL.

Is that worth more than Slaggert, I have no idea.

Tell me about him?

The prospect is a given -- you know that. And you should have known what I meant, too.

I should stop assuming that people can read between the lines, even those whose insight and knowledge I value the most.

But I have seen Ducks fans say “just a 2nd” so have assumed that was the standard fare.

Clarke plus 2nd is a little rich for me. Maybe lesser prospect.

So a 2025 2nd? No thanks

I personally would also drop the retention for you.

I don’t know how high I’d go in a bidding war but I can’t imagine it’s too much higher

Anything with a 1st involved and I’d say props to Anaheim and hope whatever team gets Henrique enjoys him

Calgary declines both trades. The Hanifin trade isn't too far off though.

Hawks decline, Jersey drafted a name a not the player, nepotism is alive and well in the NHL.

Slaggert has progressed and developed as a prospect, Stillman peaked in the OHL.

Well, I was strictly talking about the point of view of CHI's front office. THEY are very high on him. For me, I haven't watched a Notre Dame game in at least a month. So, I'll have to maybe watch a game or two of his tomorrow to refresh my memory fully. But, from what I remember, he is an average sized, strong, two-way center, plays hard and fast all over the ice, probably more of a bottom 6 utility guy, but has some power forward qualities that could take him to the top of the lineup if enough of his offense translates to the NHL. Which is something that CHI's assistant GM Mark Eaton seems to think is very possible, that he could be a top of the lineup player in the NHL. Plus, he is having an awesome senior year.

Honestly, though, I was kinda turned off by him when he did a quick interview with some Blackhawks media dudes where he credited "the power of prayer" for his success this year. It's knee jerk and judging a book by its cover, I know, but crap like that is a red flag to me. Either way, I am not interested in Stillman anymore, at all. So, even if I think Slaggert seems kinda douchey, he still has a lot more skill that I would like to explore rather than moving him for a bust/reclamation project. Also, not all religious people are inherently crappy, just a lot of them are. Some religious nut goody goody coming in and proselytizing everyone just seems like a bad element to add to a rebuild.

Yeah sounds like the kind of on ice player I’d target as NJD to be a potential long term bottom 6 C.

Thank you for the insight much appreciated

I think Slaggert just said he is signing a deal with Hawks after his college season is done.
