Let’s breathe on the Jiricek trades for a minute.

That being said, if he’s moved, it’s for another defense prospect. Preferably a RD.

He's not there for his scoring, he is your Typical Defensive Dman who plays a rugged game and he's young.

and we would have to be replacing a D men with huge offensive upside and the future PP QB. Lets be honest managment is done after this year if not sooner. (hopefully after the st louis game going into the ASB. No name new faces new relationships can sooth a lot of sore spots.

I don't think that is true, Sabres have talent and a bunch of it from when Botts was here.

Hawks decline. They aren't spending a 2nd for a 3rd pair D man. Especially one they traded away.

Why would CHI pay a 2nd for Joki? Personally, I wouldn't mind giving him another shot, but for a 2nd? Not a chance.

Just trying with it being a late pick probably

That's fair, I guess. You might be able to squeeze something like that out of a contender looking for cheap depth that is under team control beyond the current season. He still has upside. But, CHI isn't that team.

Why would Edmonton trade a top-4 defender on a good contract midseason? And for a 4th?? There's absolutely no logic going on here.

Because I traded for him 2 days ago on a Edmonton ACGM for a 5th. I am actually being nicer.

I don't know why you think a playoff team would trade one of their 1st / 2nd pairing guys for pennies at this time of year. It's not logical.

Dude I don't understand either, but half the Edmonton ACGM's on here have him on them. And I already have traded a 4th one time and like I said a 5th the other day for him. I am just going off those and I would actually give a better offer, but why should I when 50% of Edmonton fans seem to want to get rid of him.

It doesn't really matter what fans think though. Use your own brain: the best team in hockey isn't going to trade one of their best defenders midseason unless they're getting a better player back. Like they did last year when they acquired Ekholm for Barrie ++.

Best team in the NHL since the coaching change 2.5 months ago:

I know what they have done, don't consider them to be the Best and let's see where the season goes.

Vsevolod Komarov is the Sabres best RHD.
He is tearing up for Drummondville with 24 pts in only 16 games.
If he is added Buffalo would drop any picks, as he appears to be the real deal.
On other hand, maybe Buffalo just waits until he NHL ready.

LOL!
So Jason drafted Casey, Dylan, Ryan, Matthias, Rasmus and traded for Jeff, Tage and Henri.
Our top three centers and four of our top five defensemen.
Opps, I forgot to add our #1 GK Luuķkonen!
Yet somehow you and others think he did nothing but trade a center who publicly stated he LOST HIS LOVE OF THE GAME!

Surely you jest!

@buff36 thanks for your comment on this.

Let me add, Adams has been GM a year longer than Botterill who has he added to the line up?
Quinn, Power, and Peterka.
Oh yes an overpaid Greenway (really a 2nd and 5th for him @ $3,000,000) and Robinson.
He over paid to sign both Bryson ($1,850,000 to play for Rochester) and Olofsson ($4,750,000 to sit in press box or on the bench).

Good Post! Wish Pegula would have given Botts as much Leeway as Adams has gotten. Adams is surviving right know because of Botts.

You and I are a very small minority who see it this way.
I missed adding Luukkonen, that is being corrected now.
There is no doubt that the drafting has been remarkable during Adams tenure, Botterill drafted well also.
