Even if Makar were available that doesn’t get him, the price would be astronomical like literally double or triple this offer.

Bedard or Makar which one would you take? Bedard is in his first year on his ELC, Makar a UFA in 4 seasons at $8M more per year.

Really depends on the team. If the oilers or leafs could choose Makar or bedard rn I think it’s pretty easily Makar but if the sharks or habs could pick its bedard no question. Thats a real tough question for theoretical trade value though for sure. Rn Makar is pretty easily the better player but a 1C with mcdavid potential at 18 is ridiculous as well. For me I’d prefer Makar as an avs fan since we’ve already got a bonafide 1C
