Don't see why sens would trade for him, also can't see Dallas offering stankoven

I'm not a prospect genius of any kind, but there's literally 0% chance DAL sends Stanky for a 1 year rental. You must be more under a rock on prospects than I am : P

Likewise, VAN and OTT have 0 reason to trade for him. VAN already has a really solid D corps and OTT are literally last in the east haha...

The TOR trade is probably OK, might depend how they value Holmberg right now. I know he was up on the 1st line recently.

    No way. The reported value for Tanev is a 2nd +. You're not getting a 1st + b-tier prospect + 2 roster players.

Stankoven would be the best but I don’t see Dallas doing that

Vancouver deal would be the second best but they won’t give that much for Tanev

Both Friedman and Dreger have reported the Sens being interested. Apparently, should he want to extend, they would bring him in this season to get used to the city and teammates so that they can hit the ground running next season.

He is the type of player they are looking for, a defensive def top 4 RD. Also a vet. The only downside is his age, but no one is signing him for 7-8 years.

They could also just be making him aware that they have interest to set some ground work for FA. But, they could also just not want to risk the FA market and make their play now.

I doubt he actually comes here, but I could see the interest from the Sens. And how many times have fans in here said "why trade away assets to get player x, when you can just get him for free in FA" Only to see that player sign an extension and never make it to FA.

I feel like the sens trade is reasonable but of course there would need to be an extension in place

It depends on the extension. Anything more than 2 years term and I’m not interested

Not a Dallas fan but maybe Stranges, Seminoff instead of Stankoven don't think you can expect a 2nd and anything resembling a top prospects for Tanev

I think a fair offer would be the 2025 2nd (Van doesn’t have its 2024 2nd) and a depth player like Friedman, or maybe the NJ 2024 4th for Tanev with 50% retention.

Calgary might get a 1st from someone if there’s a bidding war but he’s a 34 year old rental with injury concerns and the Canucks have already traded away their 1st at this deadline.
