Pat Verbeek declines, That joke of an offer for Trevor Zegras would be blown away by a country mile.

Wrong team for Savard. Trikizov is also a very good prospect that the Canes have high hopes for, and asking for him for a position the Canes really don't need doesn't make much sense. Especially when the Canes could just do the DeAngelo trade

Deangelo doesn't give Winnipeg anything they need and it's unlikely they consider risking adding him into their dressing room.

I gotta start producing coins with one side saying "Too much for Zegras" and the other side saying "Not Enough for Zegras"

Canes have 4 D-men on expiring deals, Savard has another year remaining on his deal. I do think Savard is a good fit for the Canes. If the Canes can't re-sign Brady Skjei, at least Savard is there as a replacement already giving the canes some consistency from this year to next in their top 4. Savard is also a playoff warrior and Stanley cup winner.

Savard is an upgrade on DeAngelo on the defensive side of the game which is need for playoffs.

Canes could just do the DeAngelo Trade with Winnipeg sure, but does a second round pick help them in the playoffs?

Winnipeg's Power Play is 25/32 in the League, DeAngelo can help that. They're also using two Left handers on their 3rd pair.

Berggren+Wallinder+2024 1st round pick+2025 2nd round pick+Lesser pick/player. I love how Hab fans always offer the higher Jets 1st thinking that's going to get the job done.

I don’t understand how every Zegras trade on here is the same two prospects and a 1st round pick that isn’t the Habs’.

How many times do Ducks fans have to say this doesn’t get it done for Zegras before we stop seeing this same trade?

No he can't. He's a bad defensive, bottom pairing PP specialist. The Jets don't need more bottom pairing defenseman. He's just not worth the risk at that high a cost.

They offer the same pick and same two low potential prospects in EVERY deal for Zegras, despite Ducks fans being vocal on what the Ducks would ask for in a Zegras deal.

I don't think Montreal is allowed to trade other teams players.

Hab fans are as bad as Leaf fans, Thinking that a bunch of scrubs gets you a good player. Without one of Slafkovsky, Reinbacher or the Habs 2024 1st round pick. Trevor Zegras will never play for Montreal.

This is also bonkers, if you're thinking players (Slafkovsky and Reinbacher) the Habs are all in on are worth a player your GM is looking to trade and apparently went to war with over a contract extension this past fall.

Just as bonkers if you think Anaheim is trading one of their best players who’s only 22 years old for a pile of rubbish. The road goes two ways my friend.

You’re rumoring. A reporter with a history of inaccurate reporting (such as Gibson having played his last game in ANA) saying that Verbeek has listened to offers is wildly different from our GM looking to trade him. You’ll be hard pressed to find a single ANA fan who wants him gone. The coaching staff consistently lauds him as well as the locker room.

It takes a blue chip piece to get a blue chip piece. If it isn’t valuable enough to consider for Caufield, it isn’t enough for Z either

Well… considering you said “bonkers” to ask for Slaf, Reinbacher or Montreal’s 2024 1st. There is nothing the Canadiens have to offer that the Ducks are taking for Zegras.

There is zero reason for the Ducks to trade Zegras unless it’s a deal you cannot decline. 99.9% of the Zegras trades on here are not even close to that.

All these crap rumors about moving Zegras are all pure speculation and don’t even come from legit insiders. Seravalli is a joke reporter and has gotten nothing correct about the Ducks for as long as he’s been in the business.

So my counter offer is that you find another player to target unless you’re ready to massively overpay for Zegras.

Would you do Cole Caulfield for Zegras, one-for-one?

It’s funny how he has all these reported problems on other teams yet not a peep during his two years in Carolina

Canes decline. Not sure why we’d spend that on a 7th D man considering there is nowhere Savard would fit in our top 6. And we definitely aren’t giving up Trikozov for him

Yup. It's good for him. He's just not worth taking a chance on since he doesn't fill a need.

Jordan Harris is a LhD. How many times do we have to do this?!?!?

Without one of Slafkovsky, Reinbacher or the Habs 2024 1st round pick, Trevor Zegras will never play for Montreal. And every single one of us Anaheim fans will be fine with that. Pat Verbeek isn't looking to trade Z no matter what some clickbait purveyor published to stiffen a few Habs fans rods, and the fact that Verbeek gave him a bridge deal may be because Z and his agent(s) wanted to bet on him, so anyone drawing an inference from the terms of his current contract is stabbing in the dark in what may be an unoccupied room.

Pat Verbeek is not trading Zegras for a mid 1st round pick and a LHD with lesser pieces. If that’s all it took he’d be coming home to New York. Try again with one of Lucas Raymond, Nate Danielson, Axel Sandin Pellikka, or Marco Kasper included
