Canes have 4 D-men on expiring deals, Savard has another year remaining on his deal. I do think Savard is a good fit for the Canes. If the Canes can't re-sign Brady Skjei, at least Savard is there as a replacement already giving the canes some consistency from this year to next in their top 4. Savard is also a playoff warrior and Stanley cup winner.

Savard is an upgrade on DeAngelo on the defensive side of the game which is need for playoffs.

There is zero reason for the Ducks to trade Zegras unless it’s a deal you cannot decline. 99.9% of the Zegras trades on here are not even close to that.

Pat Verbeek isn't looking to trade Z no matter what some clickbait purveyor published to stiffen a few Habs fans rods, and the fact that Verbeek gave him a bridge deal may be because Z and his agent(s) wanted to bet on him, so anyone drawing an inference from the terms of his current contract is stabbing in the dark in what may be an unoccupied room.
