Kings and Flyers have made two major trades in the last 12 months, even though Philly had two different GMs, so the respective managements are on reasonably good terms. As a result, I don't see the Flyers starting this particular war. Noah Cates, Ty Foerster, Bowen Byram, Cam York next summer . . . Jamie Drysdale and Sam Ersson the summer after . . .

Honestly I'd pass on everything. Doubt Danny makes enemies in is first year as a GM. I like Byram, but I think with the addition of Drysdale they are happy with the young defenseman they have. Plus, Johansen isn't coming to Philly...he and Torts don't like each other. No issues with trading for Krebs, but I think Laughton will be a part of that deal. The Walker deal isn't enough. Atkinson is fine but if we are using a retention slot we better get more than a 4th 2 years from now.

At this point I don’t see the Hawks trading any draft capital for aging veterans who won’t be part of the long-term plan. Davidson just recently locked up the veterans he wanted to keep around to help guide the young guys, to keep adding will only block the young guys in the organization from advancing.

At that cost why not just trade for Byfield? Also I'm not sure Byfield would cost that much on an offer sheet because the Kings are probably budgeting around 5 million for him right now. But the Kings and Phylers have made a lot of trades recently so why shouldn't they use their cap space as leverage and instead try to trade for him for less and on a cheaper deal.

Makes no sense to spend all those assets on QB given the young players the flyers already have.

Hawks decline. They aren't paying a 4th for one year of Atkinson.

You are right, but I would trade all of those players for Byfield, lol

I could see the Sabres interested in Grans
BUT trading Krebs for him would be a surprise

We need a top4 RD NOW,
so that’s what we’re looking for

Grans is still a few years away most likely

I will say as an avs fan the Byram situation is that he's buried behind Toews and Girard on the left side. he needs paying time for his game to really show, and he has shown it before. also the concussion thing is becoming a nothing burger. any NHL player could be a concussion away from disaster.
