No they don't. The Sabres can't top 10 protect that pick, maybe top two, but it would be easier to just wait until the lottery and know where the pick is. Then if the pick is in the 5-10 range, that's what gets traded. That's plenty reasonable. Trading a protected pick that's got a 90% chance of being moved to 2025 is misleading.

Yeah the tough thing is that Jenner isnt available and isnt being traded, so any trade would need to be a significant overpay to convince the jackets to actually make a trade. From a pure value perspective, yeah that package is plenty.
