LA likely keeps holding onto ****emo until the end of the season unless they can get a LD upgrade or a goalie. Lewis, JAD, Grundstrom would get a spot before Blackwell.

There's a part of me that really wants Blackwell back in Chicago next year but since we've already cornered the market on bottom six talent something's gotta give eventually. I like ****emo's game and think he could be a great add to the youth movement.

****emo was available on waivers twice this year and the Hawks had no interest.

^ ^ this ^ ^ if they didn't have interest in him when he was on waivers, they more than likely won't have any in trade either.

I agree w/ @exo2769 and @Garak. Hawks won't give up anything for a guy who's been on waivers twice already this season.

While I think thats fair, he is a different player now. 25G in 32 games... whats better him or a 4th? (genuine question)

Just send a 4th round pick instead for Blackwell. Boom, jobs done.

4th round pick. At least then we can pick our own disappointment.

Admittedly, I've only seen F*g*mo play 3 or 4 games for the Kings, but the numbers from his 3 pro seasons in North America sort of indicate he's one of those guys who puts up strong numbers in the AHL, but can't translate it to the NHL. The AHL is full of those guys. And the Hawks had TWO opportunities to grab him for free earlier this season and didn't. So there is apparently things with his game Kyle from Chicago doesn't like. So to answer your question, Hawks take the 4th.

****emo has always been able to score in the AHL but it hasn’t translated to the NHL… yet. Could it happen perhaps.

How is the rest of his game? There has to be a reason(s) why he is still in the minors; is he such a liability defensively that it makes him a net loss even taking into consideration his offensive potential? 32 teams made the decision that he is a minor leaguer, therefore at this point I would take the 4th round pick for Blackwell and if down the road the Hawks want to give ****emo a shot they will likely be able to claim him off waivers.

I honestly couldn't tell ya. Personally, I haven't seen much of him recently but I have liked him in the past and I might give him a shot. But, when trying to think about what KD would do, I don't think he would be interested. Also, I'd be willing to bet LA lets him walk this summer, in which case, if there is any interest, we could just offer him a contract then. Mainly, I just think KD would prefer the pick. We have plenty of players on their way to the pro ranks and there are plenty of UFA's out there to fill NHL and AHL roster holes.
