Expletive no from Boston and likely from DeBrusk’s agent

can't see any logical reason for boston to do that.

One player is in the 90th percentile of defensive efficiency and one is in the 3rd.

They are basically the same with regards to /game production list year and DeBrusk was considerably better last year.

Ultimately, I would rather have the free cap room than make this trade from Boston’s perspective

Boston does not have the cap space to do this. Does not want Kane in the locker room either. It’s an easy no.

If Boston is trading Debrusk to EDM the primary piece coming back will either be Holloway or a 1st.

age, cap, contract, the fact that what you just said isn't true.

those are a few reasons.

Boston def says no to this deal but Debrusk is probably one of the few players who actually wants to play in Edmonton lmao

Kanes averages Debrusks best season to date. This season alone kane is better. Debrusks career year last year will be an outlier. Kane brings more to the oilers then debrusk ever could.

Plus he's big, mean and has term. I don't hate the idea of adding DeBrusk but not at the expense of moving Kane. That would be idiotic.

What is more depressing? Bruins OTL streak and record this season, or McDavid not scoring for 10 games?

Love how you're trying to deflect from the Bruins playoff disaster last year. tears of joy

FYI McDavid has 23 points in the past 10 games, most of any player in the league.

DeBrusk has been better the past three years, is 6 years younger, and actually plays a 200 foot game. Kane is a solid player, but outside of perceived threat to fight you ….he’s not the player he was in San Jose despite being in some favorable lineups.

I don’t believe Boston should do this.

Haha not deflecting, believe me I think the Bruins are in big trouble. But both the Oilers and the Bruins have 11 points in the last 10 games amidst the overtime losses and McDavids scoreless streak.

The past 10 hardly matter from Edmonton's perspective though, as all their division rivals are also running in place.

VAN: 4-4-2 = 10 points
EDM: 5-4-1 = 11
VGS: 4-5-1 = 9
LAK: 6-4-0 = 12

Whereas Boston's division rivals are all on heaters, so the Bruins are losing ground.

FLA: 8-2-0 = 16 points
BOS: 3-2-5 = 11
TOR: 8-2-0= 16
DET: 7-2-1= 15
