LA is still very comfortably in the playoffs. A 1st round pick would also need to be going back for a guy like Roy.

I am high on Robertson. I would want him removed from the package as well. Kid is all heart. Doesn't stop competing and has a very good shot. I like all heart guys, they win cups. I was very sad when the Leafs traded Trevor Moore for the same reason.

Matt Roy is the Kings' best defensive defenseman, and doubly critical to Los Angeles while his defense partner is week-to-week. UFA Martin Jones is absolutely worthless to Los Angeles and Nick Robertson wouldn't crack the Kings' top 9 this season or next. Why should we slit our own throats just to help you guys? That offer, to a team that is in excellent position to qualify for the playoffs, is an insult or a joke, depending upon one's sense of humor.

He's in the same boat as Turcotte, though he's been healthier for longer. Still needs to up his value by actually playing and prove he can stay healthy. I get it. But it's not someone I want the Kings to take a chance on just yet.
