There’s no way this can be bad. He hasn’t exactly been tearing up the AHL, but he was a useful player in Anaheim not too long ago, and it never hurts to have another guy with NHL experience to call up in case of injuries. He has some good IIHF world championship experience too, which is kind of like playoff hockey except that nobody in North America other than the players’ families cares who wins. Worst case he stays where he is and costs them zero cap space and only an AHL salary.
