Sens don't have the cap for Kuzmenko.
Might be a fair deal for Kadri, but Kadri at age 34 would have five full seasons at 7m.. That's a big cap risk.
Haula has NTC, and Flames isn't an attractive move. Other UFA goalie may suit the Devils better instead of giving up assets.

1. They can sign Lindholm outright

2. They won’t want to pay $7m through Kadri’s 38th birthday

He will get you about sixty points a season. There are plenty of players over the ages of thirty two all the way up to thirty eight that are still scoring and are at almost fifty points. So don't judge him on his age

Pass to much bad blood. Marchand and debrusk will kill him first day of practice after all the cheap stuff he pulled on them in the past.

Plus cap hit isn’t the issue the term is terrible and kadris gritty style of play doesn’t project well long term

Not really. Zacha/Coyle/Geekie/Beecher/Frederic all signed. Boqvist an RFA. Merkulov ready. There is also free agency to add one if they want to. B’s will keep their assets rather than overpay for something don’t really need. If they were goung to give up that kind if package it would be for somebody much better and younger avoiding the risk of fade.

Bruins say no pretty quickly. Kadri at 7mil is probably a good deal for now, but no one is gonna pay a 1st + a top prospect for the right to pay him that through his age 38 season.

If he turns out to be like palvaski who is 38 yrs old and scoring around 50 points why can't Kadri?

No team is gonna trade for Kadri expecting that to happen, Pavelski is an outlier. You just flat out aren't getting this type of value back in a Kadri trade.

I am actually surprised Clarke didn't come up in talks between NJD and CGY...good young, right-shot forward, can play center and seems to be blocked in NJ

I’d argue $7M in cap space is worth more than Kadri at his age before we add a top 75 prospect, a value player in Geekie, and a first.

Id check Sweeney for signs of brain damage if he did that deal
