They still wouldn't do it. Eller turns 35 before the start of the offseason not worth the 35+ contract. Out of the 3 defensemen Detroit would be looking to move Maatta is the easiest move and he might be the best as well. They'd have to take Holl or Chariot. Now for a team that will soon be up against the cap a 31yr old winger with a $5.125M cap hit and 4 more seasons left on his contract it really makes no sense for them. Switch Berggren with Fabbri and add Holl then it would make sense for Detroit.

I hear you brother, but Eller isn’t a 35+ contract. He’s a salary dump that’d be useful for us in a 4C spot. I would certainly prefer to move Holl+Fabbri in a Rust trade.
